Advanced Emergency Medical Solutions

AEMS has instructors who are trained and experienced in casualty simulation, allowing us to provide you with scenario based training and testing. Casualty simulation is the perfect way to assess if your responders are at the level they are expected to be.

Director

Chris Hollett is a Medical Flight Specialist with Eastern Health’s Paramedicine and Medical Transport Division, where his responsibilties include the care of critically ill and injured patients during interfacility transports and scene responses. Additionally, Chris is also Primary Care Paramedic Instructor with the College of the North Atlantic, and the commanding officer of the Canadian Forces 35 Field Ambulance with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Medical Director

Greg Brown BSc, MD, CCFP(EM), CIME, ACBOM

Dr. Brown currently works as tertiary care Emergency Room Physician with Eastern Health in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He also works as an Occupational Physician with Atlantic Offshore Medical Services. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree (Biology) from Memorial University in 1995 and an MD Degree from Memorial University In 1999. Certification with the Canadian College of Family Practitioners was achieved after a two year residency in 2001 and a Certificate of Special Competence in Emergency Medicine was awarded after a further one year residency at the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. Brown was a founding member of the Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM) Residency Program at Memorial University. He served as an Assistant Professor in the roles of Assistant Program Director and then Program Director for thirteen years. Over the last five years, Dr. Brown has increased time spent in the practice of Occupational Medicine. He has become accredited as an Associate of the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine and served as a preceptor for the Foundation Course in Occupational Medicine.
